Each fall the Museum hosts an Annual Wooden Boat Conference to provide boat builders and boat building enthusiasts with the opportunity for a weekend centred around Newfoundland and Labrador’s wooden boats. The conference features two days of presentations, discussions, workshops, and social activities.
The workshops provide opportunities to learn and share techniques, building practices and knowledge from their part of the province. The presentation and discussions highlight important aspects of Newfoundland and Labrador’s wooden boats and maritime history. The weekend ends with a dinner and evening of entertainment.
The Museum is currently in the planning stages for the 11th Annual Wooden Boat Conference. To get involved, please call (709)583-2070 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
