Each fall the Museum hosts an Annual Wooden Boat Conference to provide boat builders and boat building enthusiasts with the opportunity for a weekend centered around Newfoundland and Labrador’s wooden boats. The conference features two days of presentations, discussions, workshops, and social activities.
The workshops provide opportunities to learn and share techniques, building practices and knowledge from their part of the province. The presentation and discussions highlight important aspects of Newfoundland and Labrador’s wooden boats and maritime history. The weekend ends with a dinner and kitchen party.
The Museum is currently in the planning stages for an international wooden boat conference. To get involved contact email@example.com.
